  Coquitlam Prostate Support Group

Our next regular meeting will be:
TUESDAY December 3, 2019
@ The Gathering Place

The next Coquitlam Prostate Cancer Support and Awareness Group meeting starts at 7:00 pm at the Gathering Place in Port Coquitlam on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

Our December meeting is an informal meet and greet. There will be no speaker but we will enjoy an evening with the emphasis on being able to talk to you and your spouses in a comfortable environment.  Come with your questions and have the time to get the answers you are looking for in a relaxed evening with desserts. Or just come for the comradery!

Our speaker for the October meeting was a counsellor from the Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program at VGH who talked about psychological issues related to prostate cancer.  Monita Sundar, the Program Manager at the Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program also talked about current programs.

The New meeting place is:

#200 – 2253 Leigh Square Place Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 3B8

Turn off Wilson Avenue onto Donald Street.

When you turn onto Donald Ave., you will see,

80 meters in front of you center-left,

you will see a circular shaped building.

This building is called “The Gathering Place”.

Go in the main door and you will immediately see our meeting room.

There is plenty of free parking in the area after 6 pm.

Donald Street runs parallel to Shaughnessy St, one block away.

There is a large parking lot along Wilson Ave between Donald Street

and Shaughnessy St.

Another way to reach the Gathering Place building is to

turn off Shaughnessy St onto Leigh Square Place.

Please refer to the attached map.

All those affected by prostate problems are urged to come and share their

concerns and experiences in a strictly confidential atmosphere. Feel free

to invite friends and any acquaintances concerned with prostate problems.

Partners and caregivers are also encouraged to attend. There is no charge,

but donations are welcome to help cover the $50 per month room rental at

the Gathering Place.

Remember, our extensive video and book lending library is available to everyone

 - for free.

We look forward to seeing you all at our meeting!
